BeBe Winans (born Benjamin Winans in 1962 in Detroit, MI),CeCe Winans (born Priscilla Winans on October 8, 1964, in Detroit, MI)

 BeBe and CeCe Winans' unique style won over a huge number of listeners and sent two of their albums platinum. Their album from 1988, Heaven, was with Aretha Franklin's 1972 Amazing Grace,  the second gospel record ever to go gold. Since then, BeBe and CeCe Winans have earned many more top ten hits on Billboard's R&B charts and won numerous Grammy, Stellar, and Dove Awards.

BeBe and CeCe were born into a family of gospel singers that in the 1980s and 1990s produced no fewer than four celebrated gospel acts: The Winans, Daniel Winans & the Second Half, and, of course, BeBe and CeCe. BeBe and CeCe gave their two youngest sisters, Angie and Debbie, their start singing back-up, and the two girls went on to form a duo of their own called Sisters.

       The choir had the good fortune to perform with some of South Africa's renowned gospel singers, like Rebecca Malope, Sfiso, Thembinkosi and Deborah Frazer. Although the Choir is fairly new in the music industry this has not borne complacency in the choir members but has motivated them to work even harder to promote the Universal Gospel Choir, not only in South Africa, they’ve traveled to South America singing in States like Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, And Sao Paulo and got a chance to record a live CD and DVD. They also went to Mozambique to perform in Machava Stadium where there was approximately ± 100 000 people. They have also graced stages in Lesotho, Botswana and Lesotho.

The Mississippi Mass Choir is a gospel choir based in Jackson, Mississippi.

Under the musical direction of David R. Curry Jr., and under the choir direction of Dorcus Curry Thigpen, the 250+-member choir developed a sound that made them a constant presence on Billboard's gospel charts. Each of their recordings have reached the top position on the charts. Their debut album, Live, recorded during a 1988 performance at the Jackson Municipal Auditorium, remained on the charts for 45 weeks and earned the group James Cleveland GMWA awards as Contemporary Choir of the Year and Best New Traditional Artist of the Year. 

Their second album, God Gets the Glory, reached number one two weeks after it was released in 1990.  The Mississippi Mass Choir's most successful album, It Remains to Be Seen, topped the charts for 12 months and received a Soul Train music award as best gospel album of 1993.  The album was the choir's last with founder Frank D. Williams.  Determined to bring together the best gospel voices in Mississippi, Williams had convinced Jerry Mannery, the head of Malaco's gospel division, to sign the choir to a record deal and serve as executive director.

The Mississippi Mass Choir continues to dedicate itself to its self-described mission of "serving God through song."

        No less a talent than Lalah Hathaway once said, "Lexi is BAD!" And Lalah ain't never lied...
On her second project for boxer Evander Holyfield's Real Deal label, Lexi serves up another heaping helping of the REAL, inspirational pop/R&B that is her hallmark. She can purr softly a la Miss Jackson ("Not Until") then get nasty and go full-throttle like gospel belters LaShun Pace ("Testify") and Shirley Murdock ("Not the Same"), whose tone, runs and style are very similar to Lexi's. 
She can also articulate and milk a melody like her "inspirational" sistren CeCe Winans and Yolanda Adams ("Ms. Incognito" and "I Lift My Hands"). But the singer has a distinctive, playful side that is all her own, as evidenced by her Carmen Miranda-inspired accent on "He's Done So Much for Me," which has a slamming "I Dream of Jeannie"-like Latin groove that calls the hips to salsify as Lexi rolls her "R-uhs" and testifies: "He's like love on a wedding day/like chicken after church on Sunday/He's the sugar in my ice-cold Kool Aid/that's it--my point has been made." Indeed. Lexi is bad!

As a former high school teacher, Lexi embarked back onto the music scene in 1999 with Evander Holyfield's record label Holy Music Group/Real Deal Records. Her mission is that the body of Christ be liberated and empowered to be an effective authority on earth as God intended.

Lexi received her musical baptism singing in the Ohio based Pentecostal Church where her grandfather served as Senior Pastor and Founder. "I probably started singing when I was about five or six," says Lexi.

In 1990, barely out of her teens, her critically acclaimed album Call Her Lexi, made a huge impact on gospel music audiences and on the industry as a whole. Her contemporary style and the album's urban crossover appeal garned a wave of attention to this budding talent.

Throughout her career as a singer, Lexi sang background for Gerald LeVert during her college years, was a former member of the CCM group Anointed, and sang background with Fred Hammond, and Dawkins & Dawkins, all before venturing out on her own.

After all that, Lexi completed her undergraduate studies at Bowling Green State University where she received her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communication. Shortly after that, she toured in leading roles with such plays as Michael Matthew's, "I Need A Man," and "A Good Man Is Hard To Find." She then went back to school, and received a teaching degree from the University of Detroit, Mercy.

After nine years away from the music industry, Lexi returned with the album from Real Deal Records entitled, Lexi...And That's the Way It Is. Videos from that album, "I'm A Winner," and "Conversation," are still being aired and requested, and are being voted number one on gospel video countdowns all over the country by viewers. Furthermore, collaborating with her husband and producer Michael Allen, she was nominated for the coveted Stellar Award.

  Her third release is the best yet. "This project is totally different from anything that I've ever recorded before," says Lexi. She continues, "This project is a live recording that includes some of the most anointed and closest friends of mine. I have no doubt that people will be set free by the power of God from these songs." Some of her guests on the album and DVD release entitled, A Praise in The Valley, include gospel artists, Williams Murphy, Kim Burrell, Dave & Nicole Binion, and K & K Mime.

Lexi has also ventured into television, as the new host and field reporter for The Word Network. She has just wrapped production on her first show entitled: 1on1 w/ Lexi! It is tentatively set to air in the fall of 2005. "We must be willing to utilize every avenue of the mass media including radio, television, and print, to win souls in our generation and generations to come for the body of Christ," says Lexi. "I'm just getting started."

Oslo Gospel Choir is a Norwegian gospel choir residing in Oslo, Norway conducted by Tore W. Aas. The choir started up in 1988 and has since then become one of the most successful in Europe with success both in Europe and America. They have released around 20 releases. They are very much influenced by the black American gospel sound and the American Andrae Crouch is a major source of inspiration, with his approach in taking the gospel out of the churches and into other arenas, reaching a larger audience. Andrae Crouch has sung and been involved on several of their albums. Has also sung with Albertina Walker and also Delois Barrett Campbell of the Barrett Sisters. Princess Märtha Louise of Norway has sung solo with them on two Christmas albums.

In March 1989, TV host Dan Brge Aker heard of this new gospel choir rehearsing at a bible school in central parts of Oslo. Up to this point, putting a Christian choir into a Saturday night TV-show was considered bad entertainment. Listening to the choir, Aker was convinced that what he was hearing had to be a success. "For once I was sure that a television appearance would hit home for the around one million Norwegian viewers watching. They were unique. Traditionally, there is one soloist that makes the center point of a choir. Not so this time. The solo singers performed excellent without taking away the impression of the choir as a whole."

He recalls the nearly twenty minutes of prayer time that the Oslo Gospel Choir wouldn't miss before any appearance. "This was a new experience for the television staff, having artists who would turn to God in front of the show, praying that their message would reach the hearts of those watching. At one occasion the choir almost missed the show, as they were too busy worshipping."
